Mandate of the Kwara State Child Protection Network (CPN)

  1. Ensure programming and operational responses to address specific child protection issues, particularly drawing upon regular monitoring and reporting of child protection abuses at the LGA level.
  2. Establish systematic monitoring, reporting and response of child protection cases at LGA level and ensure the use of common tools and methodology across the state.
  3. Expand partnership and alliance to address the needs of children at risks and children victims of child rights violations and to develop preventive strategy and measures.
  4. Identify and address gaps in response to child protection issues through assessments of the existing social services available for children, capacity building of these services and advocacy for necessary child protection services
  5. Contribute to policy development through sharing concerns/experience with various forums on child protection.
