Mandate of the Kwara State Child‘s Rights Implementation Committee (CRIC)

  1. Initiate actions that will ensure the observance and popularization of the rights and welfare of a child as provided in the various laws.
  2. Continually keep under review the state of implementation of the rights of the child.
  3. Develop and recommend to the state and local government specific projects and programs that would enhance the implementation of the rights of the child.
  4. Collect and document information on all matters relating to the rights of the child.
  5. Commission interdisciplinary assessments of the problems relating to the rights and welfare of the child in the state.
  6. Encourage and co-ordinate the activities of the state and local governments’ institutions, organizations and bodies concerned with the rights of the child.
  7. Institute actions on behalf of the child.
  8. Organize meetings, conferences, symposia and other enlightenment programs for the rights and welfare of the child.
  9. Perform such other functions relating to the rights of the child as may from time to time be assigned to it.
